Danfoss OMR 200 repair: seal kit or full rebuild?
A Danfoss OMR 200 that weeps oil at the shaft may need only a new seal. It may also be worn inside, in which case a seal buys you a few weeks. You can tell the two apart with one measurement, and that measurement saves you a wasted repair. This guide gives you the real ratings, the kit numbers and a method for deciding. Advance Hydraulic Works works with hydraulic pump and motor repair and supply from Delhi NCR, and this is how we’d go through it with you.
Danfoss OMR 200 repair: the real ratings
Listings for the common 25 mm shaft version, component range 151-0715, provide a displacement of 199.8 cm³, continuous pace of 300 rpm, non-stop torque of three hundred N•m and a stress drop of one hundred ten bar. Continuous go with the flow is 60 litres according to minute.
Those figures give you the test. Theoretical speed is flow in L/min × 1000 ÷ 199.8. At 40 L/min that’s about 200 rpm. A healthy motor lands close to that, and a worn one falls short. A 32 mm shaft version is listed far higher, at 450 N·m and 175 bar, so check the datasheet for your exact part number before you compare.
Danfoss OMR 200 seal kit: which one fits
Two kit numbers come up most often. Part number 151-1277 is listed by a parts supplier as suitable for the OMR 200, and a dealer says it includes washers, O-rings and the primary seal. Another reseller lists it for 25.4 mm cylindrical and tapered shafts. Part number 151-1166 is listed for 32 mm shafts and 35 mm tapered shafts in the same series.
So the shaft decides the kit. Don’t order a Danfoss OMR 200 seal kit by the size name alone. Danfoss also publishes a seal kit survey by motor type and warns it can’t be used for special versions. Send Advance Hydraulic Works your nameplate part number, shaft diameter and flange type, and we’ll match them to a kit before anything ships.
How does the OMR 200 differ from the OMR 160 on a repair test?
Both give about 300 N·m continuous. The 160 does it at about 375 rpm and 130 bar, and the 200 does it at about 300 rpm and 110 bar. The speed test depends on that difference.
Take a motor on a 40 L/min pump. A 160 should turn about 250 rpm, since 40,000 ÷ 159.6 is about 250. A 200 should turn about 200 rpm. If you test a 200 against the 160’s figure, a healthy motor looks badly worn. Confirm the displacement on the nameplate before you read the result.
Who makes the parts now?
A European reseller lists the 151-0715 as replaced by the OMR X 200, part number 11186665, made by White Drive Motors & Steering. Kramp lists a 151-1277 kit under the White brand as fitting the Danfoss number.
Parts from different makers can share dimensions and still differ inside. Check the datasheet for the exact kit or motor you’re offered.
Danfoss OMR 200 repair service: what it costs
These are overseas listings. None is an Advance Hydraulic Works price:
- Seal kit 151-127700 at €19.01 excluding VAT.
- White-brand 151-1277 kit at €31.05 excluding VAT.
- Danfoss-listed 1511277 kit at €48.17.
- An aftermarket 151-1277 kit at US$65.99.
- A 151-1166 kit for 32 mm shafts at €58.60, or €39.20 for the White version excluding tax.
- An OMR X 200 motor with 25 mm shaft at $229.00.
A kit costs a small fraction of a new motor, but it only works when the motor is sound. For a Danfoss OMR 200 repair service, ask for a written quote after inspection, Advance Hydraulic Works included.
The method: symptom, speed, oil, version
- Symptom.Note in which the oil leaks and when it started out.
- Speed. Measure shaft speed at a acknowledged waft and evaluate it with the formula.
- Oil. Check coloration, scent and filter out for water, warmth harm or metal.
- Version.Confirm element quantity, shaft size and flange from the nameplate.
A worked example
Two sweeper drives both weep at the shaft. Both are confirmed as 200s on a 40 L/min pump, so theory says about 200 rpm.
Motor A runs unloaded at 192 rpm, which is 96% of theory. Internal wear is small, and a kit should cure it. Motor B only reaches 136 rpm, or 68%. Oil is slipping inside, so a new seal will leak again soon. Motor B needs its gerotor set inspected and probably replaced.
If Motor A has a 25 mm shaft, a package sold for 32 mm or 35 mm tapered shafts is the incorrect element, despite the fact that each belong to the OMR own family. This is illustrative arithmetic, so use the present day datasheet to your actual motor.
Implementation steps
1.Photograph the nameplate, shaft and flange before elimination.
2.Write down the full part range, which includes 151-0715, and notice any drain port.
3.Measure pace in opposition to waft and file the end result.
4.Inspect the oil and filter out for water, warmness and metallic.
5.Send everything to Advance Hydraulic Works and ask which package suits.
6. Ask the vendor to state the maker, element range and guarantee in writing.
7.Open the motor, check out each machined surface, replace all seals and O-jewelry, and reassemble the use of the Danfoss manual’s torque values.
8. Flush the traces, fit the motor, run it unloaded first, then at running strain even as you watch temperature and noise.
The usual mistakes are ordering a kit by size name, skipping the speed test and refitting old O-rings.
FAQs
What is a Danfoss OMR 200 repair service?
Inspection, replacement of worn parts and seals, and a test before the motor goes back on the machine. Ask for the findings and test results in writing.
Which Danfoss OMR 200 seal kit do I need?
It depends on your part number and shaft. Kit 151-1277 is listed for the OMR 200 with 25.4 mm shafts, and 151-1166 for 32 mm and 35 mm tapered shafts. Send your nameplate to Advance Hydraulic Works to confirm.
Can a seal kit fix a leaking Danfoss OMR 200?
Yes, if the leak is external and the motor runs near theoretical speed. If speed has dropped, the kit alone won’t fix it.
How do I know if my Danfoss OMR 200 is worn inside?
Speed falls well below flow × 1000 ÷ 199.8, and the motor may run hot under load.
Is Danfoss OMR 200 repair cheaper than buying new?
Usually, when the housing and shaft are intact. Compare a written repair quote with a replacement price. Advance Hydraulic Works can give you both.
Your next step
Run the speed test, photograph the nameplate, and send both to Advance Hydraulic Works. You’ll know whether you need a seal kit or a full rebuild before you spend anything.
