DANFOSS OMR 100 HYDRAULIC MOTOR

Danfoss OMR 100: specs, two old part numbers, one new number and a wide price spread

Search for a Danfoss OMR 100 motor and you’ll meet a puzzle. One listing says 151-0412. Another says 151-0712. A third says 11186674. They all describe the same size, and prices range from about $195 to nearly $800. This guide untangles the numbers, shows what the ratings really are and gives you a way to decide whether this motor is the right size at all. Advance Hydraulic Works works with hydraulic pump and motor repair and supply from Delhi NCR, and this is how we’d go through it with you.

Danfoss OMR 100 motor: the real ratings

One reseller describes the common version as a 100 cm³ motor with a 25 mm straight shaft and 8 mm key, an SAE-A 2-hole flange, G1/2 side ports and no drain port. The datasheet displacement is 99.8 cm³.

Continuous ratings are 600 rpm, 240 N·m, 13 kW, 175 bar and 60 litres per minute. Intermittent ratings are higher: 750 rpm, 280 N·m, 15 kW, 200 bar and 75 litres per minute. Use the continuous figures for anything that runs all shift.

Danfoss OMR 100 hydraulic motor: the number puzzle

Listings use at least three numbers for this motor:

  • 151-0412. A Danish-made Danfoss number. A European shop lists it with a new material number of 11186674, with White Drive shown as the manufacturer.
  • 151-0712. Another old Danfoss number, listed by US sellers, one at a weight of 7.4 kg with a 2.5 cm cylindrical shaft.
  • 11186674. The newer White number. An aftermarket listing shows it among the replacement numbers for the 151-0712.

So two old numbers seem to point to one newer number. I couldn’t confirm what separates the 0412 from the 0712, so don’t assume they’re identical. Read your nameplate and match the full code.

The price spread

All of these are overseas listings, and none is an Advance Hydraulic Works price:

  • An aftermarket motor at US $195, from a seller that says it isn’t an authorised source or agent for the manufacturers.
  • Another new unit at US $294, brand CMP, made in China, with a 90-day warranty.
  • A listing at US $395.20 for the 151-0712.
  • A new open-box unit at US $586.15.
  • A listing at US $791.71 excluding tax for the 151-0412.
  • A European listing of the White 11186674 at €578.90.

The top US figure is about four times the bottom one ($791.71 against $195). That gap is about maker, condition, warranty and seller, not about the size. One shop even lists the 151-0712 at €1.99, which is a placeholder, not a price.

The method: size, number, ratings, proof

Size. Confirm 100 on the nameplate, which means 99.8 cm³.

Number. Copy the full code, and note whether it’s a 0412, a 0712 or the new White number.

Ratings. Check your duty against the continuous figures.

Proof. Ask the seller for the maker, condition, warranty and a plate photo.

A worked example

Say a conveyor drive needs 250 N·m continuously at about 450 rpm. The motor’s continuous limit is 240 N·m, so it’s just under what you need. Stepping up to the next size gets you a motor whose catalogue lists a continuous torque of 300 N·m, with a continuous speed of 475 rpm. At 60 litres per minute, that larger motor turns at about 477 rpm, right at its continuous limit, so you’d feed it a little less. If you’d bought the smaller motor because “it’s the usual one”, you’d have a drive that overheats within weeks. Do this arithmetic before you order. This is illustrative, so use the current data for your exact motors.

Implementation steps

  1. Photograph the old motor’s nameplate, shaft and flange before removal.
  2. Write down the full component number, such as 151-0412 or 151-0712.
  3. Measure the shaft and key, and note the port sizes.
  4. Work out the continuous torque, speed and pressure your machine needs.
  5. Send everything to Advance Hydraulic Works and ask what’s available.
  6. Ask the seller to state the maker, condition, number and warranty in writing.
  7. Compare the delivered motor’s plate and shaft with your old one before fitting.
  8. Flush the lines, fit the motor, run it unloaded first and watch temperature and noise.

The usual mistakes are matching only the size, assuming two old numbers are identical and running above the continuous ratings.
