YEOSHE VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT PUMP

Yeoshe variable displacement pump, variable vane pump and double vane pump: which is which?

Ask three sellers for a Yeoshe double vane pump and you may get three different pumps. One is a fixed double, another is a variable tandem, and a third is something else. The names overlap, and a wrong guess means a pump that doesn’t fit the circuit. This guide sorts out the three terms you’ll see most: Yeoshe variable displacement pump, Yeoshe variable vane pump and Yeoshe double vane pump. Advance Hydraulic Works imports and trades hydraulic pumps from Delhi NCR, and these are the questions we’d ask before quoting.

What is Yeoshe?

Yeoshe is a hydraulics manufacturer based in Taichung, Taiwan. It says it has more than 35 years of experience making pumps, motors, power units and complete systems, with distributors in several countries including India.

Its vane pump range isn’t one product. The company’s own site lists low-pressure quantitative vane pumps (50T/150T), high-pressure quantitative vane pumps (PV2R1/PV2R2), and variable ranges named VDC, VPE, VVPE, PVF and VD/SVD. That list is the reason the search terms get confusing.

Yeoshe variable displacement pump: a term with two meanings

“Variable displacement” describes how a pump behaves, not what it is. Yeoshe makes variable displacement piston pumps in its V and PV series, and variable displacement vane pumps in series like VDC and VPE. So a Yeoshe variable displacement pump could be either type. Before you do anything else, find out which.

A variable pump adjusts its output to what the circuit needs. When the machine is holding pressure, flow drops, and so does wasted heat.

Yeoshe variable vane pump: the VDC and VPE families

A Yeoshe variable vane pump is a vane pump whose flow adjusts with load. The VDC series is listed in displacements ranging from 20 to 86 cc in accordance with the revolution, with working speeds of 800 to one,800 rpm and occasional noise, which is consistent with the listing The listing is from 2016, so check the current listing before calculating any figures.

Variable-vane pumps match machines with idle or conservation stages, with press equipment, gadgets, where electricity and heat are counted in addition to the floor rate.

Yeoshe double vane pump: fixed or variable?

This is where buyers get caught. A Yeoshe double vane pump can be a fixed double, like the PV2R1/PV2R2 range, or a variable tandem, like the VVPE series. The VVPE listing describes a tandem pump combining two variable sections, offered as 25+25, 30+30 and 40+40 cc per revolution, with a pressure range of 8 to 70 bar and speeds of 800 to 1,800 rpm. Two sections in one housing means two independent flows from one motor. That’s useful for machines with two circuits, but it only works if you order the right type.

One more trap: the same listing’s order table labels the displacement in “l/min” while the specification says “cc/rev”. Mixed units are common on trade pages. Always note the total version code when opposed to the manufacturer’s catalog.

The method: family, sections, pressure, code

This is how we’d handle any Yeoshe vane pump enquiry.

Family. Is it fixed or variable? Single or double?

Sections. For a double pump, what is each section’s displacement?

Pressure. What pressure range does the compensator need? The VVPE order code uses ranges from 8–18 up to 50–70 kgf/cm², close to bar.

Code. Copy the full code from the nameplate, character by character.

A worked example

Take a VVPE 30+30 on a 1,450 rpm motor. The theoretical flow of each block is 30 × 1,450 = 43,500 cc. At 50 bar with full drift, the hydraulic energy is set to 50 × 87 ÷ 600, round 7.3 kW. Now say the machine is under tension and the variable pump cuts the waft to about 10%. hydropower drops to roughly zero.7 kW. A constant pump maintaining the same pressure over the relief valve could hold it to convert the entire 7 kW into heat. This is illustrative math, no longer a spec sheet, so check against actual version reports.

Implementation steps

  1. Photograph off the nameplate, pump body and shaft.
  2. Write down the total version code, the rotation course, and the operating pressure.
  3. Note motor rpm and the circuits the pump feeds.
  4. Send everything to Advance Hydraulic Works and ask which Yeoshe family it is.
  5. Get the code confirmed, including pressure range and mounting.
  6. Look at the shaft, flange and port layout to the vintage pump.
  7. Clean the tank, exchange the filter and make a healthy fresh breather.
  8. Fit the pump, on top of it, watch it rotate and start at low tension.

The usual mistakes are ordering a fixed pump for a variable circuit, wrong rotation and a dry start.

FAQs

What is a Yeoshe variable displacement pump?
It’s a pump whose flow adjusts to the circuit’s demand. Yeoshe makes variable displacement pumps in both piston and vane types, so check which one you need.

What is a Yeoshe variable vane pump used for?
It suits machines with holding or idle phases, like presses and machine tools, where cutting flow reduces heat and energy use.

Is a Yeoshe double vane pump fixed or variable?
It can be either. PV2R1/PV2R2 is a fixed double range, while VVPE is a variable tandem range. Confirm the full model code.

Can Advance Hydraulic Works help me identify a Yeoshe pump?
Yes. Send the nameplate photos, model code and working pressure to Advance Hydraulic Works, and ask about availability and sourcing.

Can I replace a variable vane pump with a fixed one?
Not by simply swapping them. The circuit, relief setting and heat load change. Check the whole system first.

Your next step

Photograph the nameplate, note your working pressure and send both to Advance Hydraulic Works. You’ll know which Yeoshe family you have before you spend anything.
